Tempo Foundry Account

Tempo Foundry Account is the shared sign-in service used by selected Tempo Foundry products. It lets users sign in with Google to securely access private dashboards, manage their own saved content and settings, and return to that information without creating another password.

Google Sign-In is used only for authentication and account access. Tempo Foundry does not receive or store Google passwords.

Application purpose

What the account service does

Tempo Foundry Account provides a common identity layer for products that need private user accounts. Each product keeps its own content, membership, permissions, and public visibility settings.

LinkWombat

Teachers and other users can sign in to create, organize, edit, copy, and delete named short links. A user may change the destination later without changing the published wombat.to address. Dashboards and complete link lists are private; individual shared links are unlisted rather than secret.

ShareShuffle

Account features may be used to save recommendations, collections, sharing preferences, personal shelves, and related user-created content as those features become available.

Product-specific access

Other Tempo Foundry products may use the same authenticated identity to protect private dashboards, saved settings, or user-directed content. A person using the same Google identity across products does not automatically receive a public cross-product profile.

No password collection

Authentication is handled by Google and Firebase Authentication. Tempo Foundry never sees or stores the user's Google password. Users may choose which Google account to use when signing in.

Google user data

What information is requested and why

Ordinary sign-in requests only the basic account information needed to identify a returning user and protect that user's account.

Information Purpose
Stable Google account identifier Associate the correct private account, membership, saved content, and settings with the returning user.
Name Display an understandable account identity inside the user's private dashboard.
Email address Identify the account, support account administration, and respond to verified support or deletion requests.
Profile image Optionally help the user recognize which Google account is signed in.
Email-verification and authentication status Protect accounts and reduce unauthorized or fraudulent access.

This sign-in flow does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google services. A future product feature requiring additional Google access would present a separate permission request and explanation before consent.

How information is used

  • Authenticate and identify returning users.
  • Protect private dashboards and product accounts.
  • Attach user-created content and settings to the correct account.
  • Allow users to edit or delete their own saved information.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
  • Respond to verified support, privacy, and deletion requests.

Account deletion and privacy requests

Users may request account deletion, access, correction, or removal of eligible saved content through the Tempo Foundry contact page. We may need to verify account ownership before completing a request.
